We are Pilots, Observers (T/Os), Crew Chiefs, Mechanics, Engineers, Airplane restorers, modelers, and people interested in the preservation, restoration and history of the YO-3A. This website was 1st published in Dec 2003. Since then, those involved with the development of the YO-3A from the QT-2, QT-2PC, Q-Star have joined together to form the Quiet Aircraft Association QAA 501c nonprofit. Unlike most other Vietnam War era groups, we did not have our 1st official reunion until 2004. Since then we have located most all of our military personnel attached to the YO-3A program in Vietnam. And, most importantly, we have rescued our history with stories, photos, and documents.
Dale Ross Stith, George Walker, Sonny Morrow and Kurt Olney have done much to make this happen in the beginning. Since then, members have come forth to help locate our "people," deliver presentations, provide photographs and documents, and tell histories. Important to our understanding of the YO-3A history were the manuals, drawings, and documents that the Western Museum of Flight gave us access to.
